Last month, we launched our very first ' Property Workshop Evening', with fantastic feedback from all who attended. With plenty of wine flowing (supplied by Crushed & Cured, and Wines By The Sea), we had informative talks from interior designer Emma Kelsall and architect Carl Leroy Smith.
Carl presented valuable insight into the costs of current build and refurbishment, which are set to industry standard. He will also have encouraging news, forecasting that cost of renovating could actually be decreasing!
Emma discussed what the benefits are when using an interior designer, and how they are not just about 'fluffy cushions'. Emma informed that she looks at each room in a house from a 'practical aspect'; maximising your space and how you successfully place furniture, the type of flooring you should consider and how suitable it is for your home, how you will use your home (children, dogs etc) and how this impacts design and interior choices, support in choosing your home colour pallet to ensure you are ahead of the trend, and which lighting choices are best for your home.
